We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in automotive interiors, plastic part design, and mechanical product development.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating interior components and systems, ensuring that each solution meets functional, safety, cost, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities:
• Design and develop automotive interior components
• Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software
• Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T, and stack-up studies
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers
• Support prototype builds, testing activities, and design reviews
• Release engineering documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and specifications
• Work with suppliers on tooling, materials, and production feasibility
Compensation package:
• Salary range: $45,000 to $50,000 MXN gross, based on experience
• Benefits above the legal requirements
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience with CAD software: CATIA, UG, or NX
• Knowledge of GD&T, IMDS, BOM, PPAP, MSC, SPC
• Experience with plastic injection molding, stamping, welding, and foaming processes
• Advanced English
• U.S. Visa and Mexican passport are a plus
