We are supporting a global Tier 1 automotive supplier in the search for a Commodity Buyer (Plastics) to join its organization in Querétaro. This is a cradle-to-grave purchasing role, with full ownership of the commodity lifecycle: from sourcing and business award, through projects, serial production, service, and end-of-life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the assigned plastcs / resins commodity end-to-end, from sourcing through serial production, service, and phase-out.

• Execute the commodity strategy aligned with cost reduction, localization dual sourcing strategies.

• Manage supplier negotiations.

• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Finance teams.

• Monitor market trends, conduct benchmarking, and ensure competitive global pricing.

• Participate in new projects and material changes.

Job Offer:

Profile Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing within automotive or commercial vehicle environments.

• Proven background in resins / plastics commodities.

• Savings through negotiations and VA/VE initiatives.

• Experience working in global, matrixed, and multicultural environments.

• Advanced business-level English.

• Experience with SAP.
